Cooking up a Bakeshop Recipe!

Well Masterchef is sadly over for now and after being totally inspired by the finalists (that has to be the best one yet), it struck me how well cooking and quilting go together. The Moda Bakeshop is the quilting equivalent to a recipe site. Yummy recipes for charms, jelly and strip rolls -

So if you're wondering what to do with your evenings I hope this blog provides a few new cooking and quilting ideas.

Three quilters I know go on a retreat each year in the Lake District and sew for 4 or 5 days. Two of the ladies are keen cooks and third gets the benefit of all their experiments - I'm not sure it would meet Weight Watchers requirements as the Barefoot Contessa features in some of the creations and she makes Nigella look stingy with double cream and butter! There are lots of blogs about cooking with recipes - some of our favourites include the following - most have great photography too!

Enjoy!
