Pom Pom's, Yo Yo's and Festival Finalising

Things are very busy here today again - but we still had time for a quilt show of the quilts from Kaffe's new book - "Quilts in the Sun" and before we knew it our office was full! Kaffe will be be doing book signings throughout Festival (timings for these will be on our stand D20).

Adam will be cutting the Rowan fabrics at the show and here he is with one of the quilts from Quilts in the Sun - a snowball design called "Gilded Snowball" by Kaffe Fassett.

We will also have the latest designs and sizes of Yo Yo makers (otherwise known as Suffolk Puff) and Pom Pom makers. Hearts and Flowers Yo Yos have now been added to the Circles (new extra small size is also available) which can be used to accessorise bags, scarves, quilts and more. Here is a selection of the Pom Poms that David (our web designer) and Janet put together this weekend when they had a few minutes spare.

All of the Pom Pom makers, Yo Yo makers and examples of them will be on our stands at D20 and E20 - we hope to see you later this week!

Judith,

Well after many hours on Wednesday we have finished the setup on the stands and are very pleased with the results.

We have Kaffe's new book, 'Quilts in the sun', on our fabric stand and the walls are hung with quilts from the book and very nice they look too. There will be lots of Kaffe's fabric to buy and now you only need to pop across the aisle to our main stand.

As ever we were impressed with the quilts on display. If you get a chance check out the Russian Quilt groups exhibition. They are very atmospheric.

Back with some photos of the Festival hopefully later on in the week.

Hi Judith

Hope that you and all the other customers who made it to the Festival of Quilts enjoyed it as much as we have so far - one more day to go! It has been very busy with Marti Michell demonstrating her templates, hexagons and machine quilting in sections (Marti calls it low carb quilting!), Kaffe signing books, lecturing and displaying some of his own quilts, Anneke from Holland demonstrating the needle puller...no wonder the days have gone so quickly! We have met some old friends and made new ones...more photos and write up of the show next week once we've unpacked. Hope to see a few of your tomorrow.

My sister and I thought Adam was so helpful in selling us lots of Kaffe Fassett fabric! We have both finished piecing the quilts we made in the masterclass with Kaffe and are getting ready to quilt them. We'll send you photos when we're done

Dear Susan and Liz

Adam will be delighted by your comments which I will feed back to him - he loves doing the Festival of Quilts show as he gets the opportunity to meet customers and he is quite a "people person"! We would love to see your photos - just send us the images when you have them and we'll post them here.

Many thanks - Liz
